I’ve been going through Eric Luhta’s excellent How to Cheat in Maya 2010 over the last week or so and learning/relearning tons. It’s been too long since I’ve made a 3D walk cycle, so I followed Mr. Luhta’s chapter on the topic and this is the WIP result.
Pretty vanilla, but not too bad in my opinion. I’ll polish it up a bit more before working on another walk, this time with a bit more attitude.
It’s kinda strange going back to 3D after I’ve been doing 2D stuff almost exclusively at work, but after getting my bearings back it’s really exciting working in three dimensions again.
